The symptoms of plantar fasciitis include pain in the center of the heel or burning in the arches with weight bearing. This is usually most pronounced in the morning or after periods of rest, when the foot is first placed on the floor. After the first few steps, the pain may subside, but tends to worsen as the day progresses.
